Can you beat your Headteacher at Maths? Get practising your times tables so that you can challenge me during Maths Week.
I saw some of you playing on the Wii in maths today and some of you were using i-pods!
What were you using those for?
It did look fun though!
In Class 6 we have created our own shop to help us learn about money.
It is awesome!
In maths week we Created a WORDLE with Mrs Barraclough on Monday related to maths vocabulary.
In class 6 for maths week it has been really fun we have a shop and it is fun to play with and pretend to sell things it is really fun.
Today class 6 have been making QR codes on kaywa it is was alot of fun we used laptops and i pod touches to scan the codes.
Today class 6 used the i pods to check out the qr codes so that they couldmake a maths trail for other classes.
In yaer 6 we are learning about maths in every suject, and it is really fun and in maths we are learing about QR codes and we are having a great time, I can’t wait until tomorrow.
In Year 6 we’ve been making QR codes to create a maths trail for all you to try. Do you know how to make one?
Today Class 6 have been making a shop with Mrs Barraclough it was really fun to make .
We use ipods to no how unlock to QR codes.
Yesterday we found out how to create QR codes. After we found out how to create QR codes we started making QR code trails for other classes to answer maths questions on.
I am glad you are having a good time Class 6. The QR trails are going to be great and I am sure the other classes will enjoy doing them.

Today we did a shop and had a chance to learn about money it was really fun!
Today we made a shop called super 6 agents, we brought some newspapers, books and lottery tickets.We also made a maths trial for other classes using QR codes it was epic!!!!!!!!!!!!

In maths fun week we created QR codes. We made our own QR codes by going on this website called kaywa.

This week has been great, every lesson we do includes maths like work on QR codes,we get to use iphones at school and the laptops to help us in our work. So far it has been very fun at school.I wonder what else we will be doing at school this week.Looks like it is going to be fun!

In Class 6 we are having a lot of fun, we have got our own shop that we play in plus on Thursday Mrs Baraclough is going to do real baking with us I just can’t wait.

Today we just set up our own pretend class shop it’s like we’ve been back in nursery.

It’s the best week ever I want MATHS week everyday, even though it’s just Tuesday.
Maths is my favourite subject in the world ! (and of course art)
This week is maths week and it has been really fun so far because we have been making bar codes for all of the other classes in ks2 and I hope they do well on them
When we do the baking the maths that we will be doing is when we weigh the scales to see how much grams we will be using.

When we did the QR codes yesterday, I thought it was really fun.
Just collected the data for our maths lesson this morning on mean, mode, median and range by playing Mario Kart with Class 6.
Some great players. The staff were also quite good with Mr Peacock the overall staff champion – just!!!
I’ve been challenged!! I won one (against a Y6 boy) and I lost one!! Bradley from Y5 was super quick, he didn’t even pause for one second before shouting out the answer. We only went up to the six times tables so I’ve challenged him to include 7s, 8s and 9s and a rematch on Friday. I think I need to put some serious practice in.
Loved Year 5′s raps about Maths. The sound effects were pretty cool and they gave some great tips for rounding numbers up and down. Keep having fun
In class 5 we have been making fruit salad and we have been playing on the wii on bowling to get data about peoples scores and also I would like to share with the whole school that Bradley Raistrick in my class beat Mrs Cox and Kristian Gill in Year 6 lost against Mrs Cox, Bradley scored 10 and Mrs Cox scored six and Kristian Gill got 5 and Mrs Cox got 10.

Maths week is really funwe had a great time playing on the wii
Today we made a board game. It was really fun making it although we didn’t have time to finish it! We also did the wii and we did bowling like year 5. stars ( the group I was in) scored 174 I think but it’d definitely one hundred and seventy something. After that we did bar charts to show how much points the teams got. I love maths week so far!

This afternoon we are making our own made up board game and nearly everyone in the class did snakes and ladders, my group did top trumps we already started doing the design (the actual card) and we got 10mins each in the shop of our own.:)
i realy loved this week because Class4 played on the WII it was so fun even though my team came last but they say its not the winning that matters its the taking part. We also had fun by seeing how many penguins they are say like 1 week how many pengins would you of had in your house …7 easy that only took me 1 sec wich shows i LOVE MATHS WEEK

I used to be a st matthews student and i am Nikhils big sister. when i was at school we did not have iphones and nitendo wii’s at the school. it has changed very much since i was there and i cant even recognize it any more its tooo different!
in year 4 we did a lot of fun things this week like…
on Monday we:
did some hard work then in the afternoon we got a reward which was playing on the wee!!!
on Tuesday we:
did hard work all day but it was worth it!!! hahaha
Today we:
made a mosaic and turned it into a fraction we also made math board games for a competition!!!

Today we have been making game’s for class 5, so they can play the games tomorrow.
I’m so proud of myself I’ve just made my own version of top trumps called Magic maths and I lost to Mrs.Cox at it.
Today we just finished making a game for class 5 mines called Trapped in a River it’s relly fun to play and i did it with Joseph and Brandon and Rosin.
Well we finshed our games for year 5 ans th flapjacks we made were amazing, I hope they like our game we put alot off effort in them!
Today i have enjoyed making our games in class 6 it was really fun i made one with Myles we made our game about the olympics .

I’ve also enjoyed today. I’ve been challenged at times tables from breakfast club this morning right up until the end of the day. I thoroughly enjoyed playing Callum Dunne’s top trumps Maths game. If you see Callum, ask him which shape was the best card to have – luckily I had it. Well done to everyone who has been on I Am Learning. Those games are a great way to have fun with Maths. I’m looking forward to the last day of Maths week and I’m sure you are too.

Today,we played our own games in the afternoon and I played with Daniella and Shannon it was fun!
I have been thinking that we should do this again,and class 3 can make a game for Cameron to play. But this time we can do a fundraising fair for Cameron like Mr. Smith sat on a stool and a big bucket of water is on top of him, and whoever hits the target with a tennis ball Mr. Smith gets all wet.(That was an example )

it has ended i WANT TO DO IT AGAIN. The best thing about maths week was y4 playing on the WII it was F.U.N fun i loved it but im happy agian because we are on school HOLLIDAY hip hip hurray hip hip hurray 8)

Befor we broke up frome school we all had fun like class 6 made there oun shop.
Then during that week we had some more fun playing mario cart on the nintendo wii that was fun, even had funny names for our groups like my groups name was alastice band we all came up with that name. We had a grate time.
Both of my Children Aidan, class 1 and Caitlyn Class 4 have really enjoyed the Maths week at school, they have only just stopped talking about it and have been playing the same games on the Wii at home and showing me what they have learnt in Maths Week. Fantastic idea from the school and will hopefully see another one soon, it looks like all the children agree Maths week has been great Fun.
